A winterwonderland awakens

I’m back in Sweden, and this morning brought a moment I’ve been eagerly awaiting: snow! Glancing out of the window, my heart skipped a beat. It felt like waking up on Christmas morning—pure joy and excitement. The world outside had transformed, blanketed in shimmering white, radiating a magical stillness. I couldn’t resist starting my day with a peaceful walk to soak in the beauty of the winter wonderland. The crisp, cold air and the satisfying crunch of snow beneath my boots made every step feel special. It was as if nature herself whispered a gentle reminder to slow down and embrace the simple beauty of the day. Winter in Sweden truly feels like a fairytale—each season has its charm, but snowy days like these are simply unmatched.

Out in the field, I searched for a little haven sheltered from the biting wind, which made the cold even sharper. A cluster of bushes near a small water spot provided just enough protection. By the time my baby wipes started freezing solid, I knew it was time to wrap up. Fortunately, I had already finished my painting. With my work complete, I packed up my gear and made my way back to the comforting warmth of home.

Protected

I am sometimes asked how I get my paintings home safely, especially when the weather is bad. Luckily, I found the solution years ago: handy waterproof drawing bags. These bags protect my work from rain, snow and other elements. My wet canvas carrier fits perfectly in them, so I don't have to worry about damage. Thanks to these bags, I can safely transport my creative work, regardless of the weather conditions.
