PLEIN AIR BLOG

A story about pasion...

"Always on the move, always hunting for light, air and space, a quest that takes me to the most beautiful places in nature. An endless quest..."

Have a little faith

Have a little faith... Like today with Svanhalla hamn. I woke up feeling like I wanted to make a large plein air painting (140 x 100 cm). It was sunny, and I thought the wind wouldn't be too bad. We packed up the car and drove to the location. Of course, there was still a bit of wind, but we found a sheltered spot where I could bring my ideas to life.

In to the greenzone

Glad Midsommar everyone!! For me? Back to the green zone at Svanhalla Hamn, one of my favorite places to relax and recharge. All around me I see flowers that are coming up more and more, filling the landscape with a vibrant burst of color, and they give beautiful accents to my paintings, adding life and energy to every brushstroke. It is truly inspiring and fills my heart with joy! Little creatures are constantly buzzing around my head, a sign that nature is alive and well, thriving all around me in perfect harmony. The wind makes me feel safe and grounded, while the sun keeps me warm, wrapping me in its gentle rays, and continues to feed my creativity with its endless light. What a beautiful, magical, time of year!

Natures peace

The sun was shining brightly, there was no wind and no one around. The perfect moment for a creative burst, I thought. But there was one unexpected challenge: big ants. Determined, I tucked my pants into my socks, convinced that everything would be fine. A few meters away, away from the ant nest, I set up my easel.

Herrons talking

Despite a very windy day, I decided to go to Svanhalla Hamn today to paint. To prevent my easel from blowing over, I secured it extra firmly with an extra painting bag. After everything was well anchored, I could work in peace. In this beautiful area live many herons, which served as my company during the day. Their presence gave a special atmosphere to my painting moment, and it made the day even more special...

Dragonfly alley

Yesterday, I stumbled upon a stunning sunlit sand dune at "Flyet" in Jämjö. Surrounded by the lush greenery of nature and the soft, blue-gray hues of moss, I felt an overwhelming sense of calm and tranquility. The entire time, not a single soul passed by. It was just me, the soothing symphony of birdsong, and the gentle hum of tiny insects. Dragonflies danced gracefully in the sunlight, adding a touch of magic to an already perfect moment. It was a beautiful reminder of how pure and simple nature’s wonders can be—a perfect escape from the fast-paced demands of daily life.
