It was warm and sunny, and at last I was able to paint in the “garden.” This little corner had been calling to me for a long time. While painting, I could hear tiny little movements all around me.
But this time I felt it was something different. When I took a short break on the stone wall with a coffee, a little lizard appeared next to me. Completely unafraid, he watched me for a while. He was clearly curieus after we shared a quiet moment, he blinked with his little eyes to me and continued hunting for ants. I returned to my birch-and-flower- forest painting....
Little corner, oil on canvas, 50 x 150 cm, 2026. (Available)
