At the Berkel

I made this painting a few years ago at our river the Berkel in Lochem. It was the moment that spring was about to start, and you could feel the change in the landscape. The reed plumes were starting to change color and nature was slowly coming to life. This serene and inspiring environment inspired me to capture this scene. It not only reflects the beauty of nature, but also the transition and new beginning that spring brings.
